Forty crocodiles killed a Cambodian farmer today as he tried to argue with one of his reptiles.
The “crocodiles leapt up, attacking him until he was dead,” Mey Savry, police chief of Siem Reap commune, where the man’s farm was located, told Viral Press at About the abnormal accident.
The 72-year-old victim, named Luan Nam, reportedly entered the enclosure so he could remove one of the fangs from a cage where he had laid eggs.
Things took a disastrous turn after the beast “attacked the stick” he was using for the corral, “causing him to fall into the pen”, according to Savry.
Suddenly, the reptile shepherd was mobbed by dozens of animals, which tore his body to shreds, leaving the paddock awash in blood.
Accompanying photos show the animals paddling through a pool of Nam’s blood, and the video shows officials removing his remains from the area.
According to the police chief, Nam’s corpse was riddled with bite marks and he was believed to have lost both arms and a leg, which the fangs had swallowed during the binge eating.
His mutilated body was then transported to the family home.
Nam, who was also president of the local Crocodile Breeders Association, was reportedly asked for years to leave the business, CBS reported.
In an equally gruesome incident in 2019, a 2-year-old Cambodian girl was eaten alive after falling into a crocodile pit on her family farm.
