“I laughed until I cried and I cried until I laughed.” It is an excerpt from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Star Rachel Brosnahan’s Instagram post today on her thoughts after the latest episode of the Emmy-winning series aired on Prime Video. Brosnahan shared some behind-the-scenes footage in a photo gallery followed by video of the moments immediately after filming the final scene. (Hint – there’s a lot of confetti).
“This wonderful adventure has changed my life in more ways than I can count,” Brosnahan wrote in his Instagram post. “I have met some of the greatest people I have ever known and now call them my family, my mentors and my friends. I went to TV boot camp and learned how to be a better performer, leader, and producer. I wore insanely nice clothes, ate an embarrassing amount of incidental food, got middle finger from Alex (Borstein) every day. I grew up. I laughed until I cried and I cried until I laughed.
“Everyone says it but they lie because our team is the best in the business,” she continued. “So many people have poured their time and talent into this show since its first season and none of this would have been possible without their dedication. We had the best actors, writers, producers and department heads and (the creator of series) Amy Sherman-Palladino at the helm of our ship. She trusted us with her baby and pushed us to be better. And you watched! You were the wind in our sails for long days and hard nights I am overwhelmed with gratitude and will be for a very long time to come Boobs until the last chapter.
